Traffic Diversion Implemented while LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Undergoes Construction

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is detouring traffic on Jalan Matraman, Kebon Manggis, East Jakarta from April 27, 2025 to May 31, 2026, to allow for the construction of the LRT Jakarta Phase 1B (Velodrome - Manggarai) Zone 2.

This project will close Jalan Matraman

In Zone 2, the construction of LRT Jakarya Phase 1B will enter the structural work phase for Viaduct P124B - P134B Cluster 3 STA. 4+440 to 4+740.

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo said the work location is on Jalan Matraman, south side of the Pramuka flyover to Tambak, West segment, intersection of Jalan Matraman - Jalan Salemba - Jalan Pramuka.

"This project will close Jalan Matraman, the south side of the Pramuka flyover)," he expressed, Wednesday (4/30).

Here is traffic diversion measures implemented during the work process:

A. Intersection of Jalan Matraman - Jalan Salemba - Jalan Pramuka

1. Closure of Jalan Matraman (the south of Pramuka Flyover)

2. Traffic from the South/Kampung Melayu heading to Manggarai, which originally used the side road of the South flyover, will be diverted through contraflow in the Transjakarta lane on the North side of the flyover

3. Traffic from the North/Salemba Raya heading to Manggarai, which originally used the side road of the South flyover, will be diverted through the Transjakarta lane on the North side of the flyover (contraflow)

4. Vehicles from the West/Pulogadung heading to Manggarai can still pass through the flyover

5. Transjakarta Corridor 4 vehicles will use the route of Jalan Matraman - Jalan Slamet Riyadi - Manggarai

B. Intersection of Jalan Proklamasi - Jalan Tambak

1. Closure of Jalan Proklamasi Intersection - Jalan Tambak

2. Traffic from the West/Manggarai towards East Pulogadung and to South/Kampung Melayu, which originally turning right following the traffic light phase is diverted to turning left directly onto Jalan Proklamasi - Jalan Penataran - turn back onto Jalan Proklamasi/can go via Jalan Diponegoro

3. Vehicles from the North direction/Jalan Proklamasi heading West/Manggarai are directed straight - make a U-turn above the Matraman Underpass - using the contraflow road in the Transjakarta lane on the North side of the flyover

4. Closure of the East–East U-Turn in front of the Proklamasi Monument (limited nature)

5. Geometric adjustments are needed at the intersection of Jalan P. Diponegoro - Jalan Penataran - Jalan Pegangsaan Barat, thus traffic intending to turn back South can turn right directly
